Interact DC User Guide¶
Interact DC models the servers you run today against the hardware you are considering, and tells you what changes: energy, carbon, floor space, and cost.
Nothing you do here touches your production systems. You describe your estate, we match it against a catalogue of real hardware configurations, and the analysis runs on our side.

What each number means and how far to trust it.

A short index of where everything lives.

Administering your organisation
For administrators: members, credits, branding and settings.
The shape of the work¶
Every piece of analysis follows the same four steps.
- Describe what you run. A specification is your current estate — one line per server configuration. Upload a CSV or enter servers by hand.
- Choose what to compare it against. A target is hardware you are considering. Add as many as you like and see them side by side.
- Run it. Each run costs credits, and you are shown the cost before anything is spent.
- Read the result. Energy, carbon, consolidation and cost, with a report you can export as a PDF.
There is a guided tour inside the app
Open the profile menu in the top right and choose Run your first simulation. It walks you through the same path on the real screens.
Who this guide is for¶
It assumes no prior experience with the platform. Whether you manage infrastructure and run your own analyses, prepare proposals for clients, or quantify carbon reduction for a sustainability report, this covers what you need to get started.
